The inaugural edition of the Tomato Cup Soccer Challenge will be taking place on September 12-13, 2009, in Civic Park in Reynoldsburg, the "birthplace of the tomato".

Civic Park features some of the best fields in all of Central Ohio, all of which will be in use to serve the teams participating in this year's tournament. Ample parking, permanent restroom facilities, a well-equipped concession stand, and dedicated handicapped parking make the Civic Park facility the ideal venue for hosting a tournament.

The Tomato Cup Soccer Challenge is designed to provide a wonderful tournament experience for teams that play in the middle tiers of their local soccer league (for example, the B/C level of the Mid Ohio Select Soccer League). We hope your team is able to join us on the weekend of September 12-13! Registration deadline is August 22, 2009. UPDATE: registration is now closed.

The Alliance Soccer Club is teaming with the KIDS Inner City Developmental Soccer League, the Reynoldsburg Soccer Association, and the City of Reynoldsburg's Park and Recreation Department to host this tournament. ASC is proud that a portion of the revenue from this tournament will be donated to KIDS to further their mission of providing soccer experiences to the young people of the inner city of Columbus.

Questions about the tournament can be sent to its Director, Tim Thompson, by sending email to Director@TomatoCup.org
